Understanding Behavior Scores

Learn how Dead Ark's behavior score system works - how to unlock your scores, what they mean, and how to maintain good community standing.

Dead Ark uses a behavior score system to measure community standing. Unlike traditional systems, your scores must be earned through real platform engagement - they start locked until you prove yourself through actual participation.

🔒 Why Are Scores Locked?

New members start with locked behavior scores for good reason:

  • Meaningfulness: Scores represent real behavior, not arbitrary numbers
  • Fairness: Everyone starts equal and earns their standing
  • Anti-Gaming: Prevents multi-account farming
  • Quality Signal: Only engaged members have visible scores
  • This ensures that behavior scores actually mean something - they reflect your real contributions to the community.

🎯 How to Unlock Your Scores

    Unlock Requirement: 30 Qualifying Interactions

Complete any combination of these activities:

  • Create posts and threads - Start conversations
  • Comment on content - Engage with the community
  • Mark content as helpful - Reward quality contributions
  • Submit moderation reports - Help keep the community safe
  • Progress Tracking:

Visit your `/account/behavior` page to see your progress towards unlocking scores. You'll see a progress bar showing exactly how many more interactions you need.

📊 The Three Scores

Once unlocked, you'll see three behavior scores:

    1. Behavior Score (starts at 70)

  • Measures overall conduct and community contributions
  • Starts at neutral baseline (70/100)
  • Increases with positive behavior, decreases with violations
  • Range: 0-100 (higher is better)
  • 2. Trust Score (starts at 0)

  • Measures reliability in trust-based interactions
  • Must be earned through positive trust activities
  • Important for trading, collaboration, and leadership
  • Range: 0-100 (must be built up)
  • 3. Reputation Score (starts at 0)

  • Measures platform contributions and impact
  • Earned through creating value for the community
  • Reflects your standing and influence
  • Range: 0-100 (must be built up)

⚖️ Score Ratings

Scores are rated on a 5-tier system:

  • 90-100: EXCELLENT - Outstanding community member
  • 70-89: GOOD - Positive contributor in good standing
  • 50-69: FAIR - Average standing with room for improvement
  • 30-49: POOR - Below average, review guidelines
  • 0-29: CRITICAL - Serious issues, immediate action needed

💡 Best Practices

    To Maintain Good Scores:

  • Follow community guidelines at all times
  • Contribute thoughtful, helpful content
  • Engage respectfully with other members
  • Report violations (don't engage with trolls)
  • Build trust through consistent positive behavior
  • What Hurts Your Scores:

  • Toxic behavior (harassment, hate speech)
  • Spam or low-quality content
  • False or malicious reports
  • Violating community guidelines
  • Repeated negative patterns

🔄 Score Recovery

    If your scores drop:

  • 1.Review Guidelines: Understand what went wrong
  • 2.Improve Behavior: Make consistent positive contributions
  • 3.Redemption Path: Complete tasks to recover standing
  • 4.Time Heals: Scores improve with sustained good behavior
  • Note: Once unlocked, scores never re-lock - but they can drop to 0 through violations. Rebuilding takes time and consistent positive engagement.
